Fort Edward

Arlene Case, 84, a resident of Fort Hudson Nursing Home and formerly of Hopewell Junction and Malta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Arlene was born in Plattsburgh on July 26, 1939, to the late Arthur and Florence (Howard) Case.

She worked in the finance department at IBM in East Fishkill for 36 years until her retirement in 1992. She had been a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and St. Clement’s Church in Saratoga Springs.

Arlene will forever be remembered as a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a woman of kindness, dignity and grace who was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was also predeceased by her sisters, Gail Nichols and Debbie Case; her brothers, Michael Case and Jack Case; and her sisters-in-law, Lucy Case and Odette Case.

Arlene is survived by her beloved son, Dr. Christopher Case and his wife, Jennifer; her loving grandchildren, Jack Case and Katie Case; her step-grandchildren, Jacob Schneider and Gretta Schneider; her brother, Rodney (Hubba) Case; her brother-in-law, Robert Nichols; her nephews and their wives, Russell and Lynn Nichols, Scott and Christine Nichols; and her great nieces and great nephew, Victoria and Ryan Nichols, and Rebecca Nichols.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fort Hudson nursing home for their loving care of Arlene.

Friends may call from 10am to 12pm on Friday, November 17, 2023, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809.

A Funeral Service will be conducted following the calling hours at 12pm at the funeral home.

Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
