<p>Harland H. Burris age 60 of Pilger, NE passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 in Pilger, NE. Closed casket visitation will be on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Rock Museum and Chapel in Pilger, NE. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting with the arrangements.</p><p><br></p><p>Harland Howard Burris was born on December 17, 1962 to Thomas V. and Sharon K. (Grimm) Burris in Norfolk, NE. Harland graduated from Wisner-Pilger High School in 1981 and Northeast Community College in Norfolk. </p><p><br></p><p>Harland had worked as mechanic for Labenz Trucking, Ken Wiechman and most recently Stalp Gravel Co. He loved farming and doing odd jobs. He enjoyed tinkering on the farm and tending to his apple and peach trees, assembling model Peterbilt trucks and spending time with friends talking.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include-</p><p>Elaine Reese of Pilger, NE</p><p>Mother-Sharon Larson of Northwood, IA</p><p>Sister-Janet (Burris) Yoder of Firethorn, CO and children-Lythande, Brom and Raven Tucker</p><p>Step-sister-Nicki and Greg Ballard of Minot, ND</p><p>Step-brother-Matt and Angie Larson of Northwood, IA</p><p><br></p><p>Harland was preceded in death by his father-Tom Burris, grandparents-Gifford and Marion Burris, Gary and Hilda Grimm.</p>Obituary
