Jackie Marie Onkst

Jackie Onkst age 89, widow of the late Marvin Onkst, passed away on November 12, 2023 at her home. Jackie was born in Harlan County Kentucky to the late Silas and Roberta Calloway Blanton. Jackie had been a teaching assistant for preschool aged children for many years in Berea, and she and Marvin were charter members of the Crestview Holy Sanctuary in Berea.

Jackie was also preceded in death by her brothers: Clayton Blanton, Denver Blanton, and Marshall Blanton.

Jackie is survived by her sons: Richard (Heather) Onkst, and Joel (Angela) Onkst, her brothers Chad Blanton and Paul Blanton, and her grandchildren: Joel Warren Onkst, Lauren (Mike) Dant, Lindsey (Jason) Zoeller, Brock Cassin, Taylor Cassin, and her great grandchildren: Cannon Thomas Zoeller, Archer Warren Onkst, Hayes Dant, Delaney Dant, Shepherd Zoeller, and Rowan Zoeller.

Services will be Thursday Nov. 16, 2023 at 1 pm at the Crestview Holy Sanctuary, Bro. Ronnie Opplinger and others will be officiating, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Aaron Blanton, Kevin Blanton, Patrick Blanton, Adam Blanton, Brock Cassin, Joel W. Onkst, Jason Zoeller, Mike Dant, Shane Blanton and honorary pallbearer Jared Taylor. Visitation will also be Thursday at the Church from 10 am – 1 pm. Lakes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
