She graduated from Parsippany High School and eventually from the University of Connecticut with her Masters of Finance. In 1997, Jean was the recipient of a liver transplant that afforded her many additional years with her family and friends. Please consider becoming an organ donor, to give someone the ultimate gift of life.

Jean’s legacy is earmarked by her passion for genealogy - a subject that she was not only excited to investigate for her own knowledge, but also in order to preserve the family’s history for generations to come. She spent many years researching, compiling, and publishing the entire catalog, tracing the family roots all the way back to the Mayflower. Jean was a multidimensional artisan, whose passion for crafting was expressed in a variety of mediums. From porcelain dolls to quilts to jewelry, she could always be found hard at work on a new project. Jean was an avid reader and music lover, sharing her love of mysteries and song with everyone she met.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Donald Robinson; two daughters Elaine (Kurt) and Mary (Frank); sister Joan Hathaway; and three beloved grandchildren Elizabeth, James, and Anthony (AJ).
