Louise 'Irene' CARAVETTA

<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Caravetta on November 1, 2023. She went peacefully in the comfort of the Rocky Mountain Lodge. Her kindness and pleasantry were an influence and role model to those around her. </p><p>Irene is predeceased by her mom Irene Burlingham (Sedrovic), her husband Frank of 49 years, her adopted Sangala Family, her mother-in-law Concetta Caravetta, her brother-in-law Patsy Caravetta, her son-in-law Martin Bouvier, her sister-in-law Elsa Caravetta. </p><p>Irene is survived by her son Joe (Lori) and daughter Connie Bouvier, and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, brother-in-law Sam Caravetta, numerous cousins and her partner Howie Yip. </p><p>Irene was born on March 21, 1940, in Fernie. She grew up in West Fernie and in 1959 Married Frank Caravetta. Her greatest pleasure was spending time and looking after her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing with the ladies, curling, was an active member of her church, camping, fishing and going travelling. She also very much enjoyed the simple things in life like knitting, growing flowers, gardening and cooking for her family and friends. Irene will be dearly missed and remembered for her love and warmth she gave and the kind and beautiful life she lived. </p><p>The Caravetta and Bouvier Family would like to thank the present and past staff at Dr. Soetaert’s Office for their care, support and compassion, the staff of the Rocky Mountain Lodge and her partner Howie Yip for being by her side every day. </p><p>As per her wishes, there will be no funeral, she will be cremated and will be put to rest beside her mother. There will be a luncheon for a celebration of life (date/venue TBD). </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
