Peter M. Panuccio, 44, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, November 3, 2023.

Peter was born in New Hartford, NY, April 28, 1979, a son of Nicholas A. Sr. and Melody (Lankford) Panuccio. Peter graduated from T. R. Proctor High School. At one time, he held a position with Midlantic Environmental, Inc. and in his family’s business, Panuccio Construction.

Peter was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and enjoyed a good game of pool. He especially loved to be around his family and friends, always greeting them with a smile and laughter.

Surviving are his mother, Melody A. Surace of New Hartford; his father, Nick, Sr., and his wife, Terese “Terri” (Piazza) Panuccio of Utica; two brothers, Nick Panuccio, Jr. and Vinny Panuccio; three sisters, Dana Surace, Nicole Panuccio, and Maria and Patrick Hartnett; nephew, Joe Panuccio; niece, Alyssa Trad; his Godmother, Theresa Prumo Jones; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vincenzo and Carmela (Berardone) Panuccio; maternal grandmother, Nancy (Newton) Nicotera; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish, 648 Jay Street, Utica, NY 13501, Wednesday morning, November 8th, from 9:30 a.m to11:30 a.m. with Peter’s Mass of Christian Burial to follow visitation at the church at 12:00 Noon. Arrangements are under the care of Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., Utica, NY.
