<p>Lucille C. Reed, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2023, at her home in Richmond, Kentucky</p><p>Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Reed, her son, John Reed, and her 13 siblings. She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Tim) Fielder, Lisa (Jim) Abney, and Leah (Mel) Rose. Lucille was a cherished grandmother to ten grandchildren, John Dudley Reed, Jennifer Nalley, Jamie Martin, Tracy Oliver, Tanya Fielder, Tara Murphy, Candice Maynard, Makenna Abney, Makenzie Abney, and Brianna Hensley. She was also a proud great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren, Taylor, Adia, Gavin, Irelynn, Dylan, Dalton, Alexandra, Kelly, Tucker, and Oakley.</p><p>Lucille retired from Continental Metal Specialties, where she was a dedicated and hardworking employee. She was a proud member of the Baptist faith, and her strong belief guided her throughout her life. Lucille was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an avid seamstress and quilter, using her skills not only to create beautiful pieces but also to help those in need. She often donated her quilts and blankets to the less fortunate, even having her daughters drive her around so she could personally give blankets to the homeless. She also made and donated lap blankets to Hospice, providing comfort to those in their final days.</p><p>Lucille's love for cooking was well-known among her family. Her dishes were always a hit at family gatherings. She had a deep appreciation for nature, often spending her free time gardening and birdwatching. She took great joy in feeding the birds that visited the garden. </p><p>One of Lucille's most endearing qualities was her love for sharing childhood rhymes and riddles with her children and grandchildren. These cherished memories will continue to live on in her family. Lucille's generous spirit, creative talents, and love for her family will be greatly missed.</p><p>Funeral services will be 1pm, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Lee Abney officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12 pm until time of services at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tim Fielder, Jim Abney, Mel Rose, John Dudley Reed, Dylan Maynard, Dalton Maynard, R.J. Oliver, Chris Murphy, Dustin Maynard, and Jason Hensley.</p>
