Bobby Robinson Bobby James Robinson was gloriously ushered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, February 19, 2018. He was born in Waco, Georgia, on September 19, 1942, the son of the late George Mirum Robinson and the late Rosie Mae Howard Robinson. Bobby attended Bremen High School before enlisting in the United States Army. He served during theVietnam Era and was part of the Special Forces and was a Green Beret. He considered it a privilege and honor to serve his country that he so passionately loved. He attended Truett McConnell College in his younger years. In the 1960s he owned a Men’s Clothing Store in Cornelia, GA called Esquire LTD. In the 1970s and 1980s he owned Robinson Industrial Chemicals and was a part-time Minister of Music. In 1982, he was led into full time ministry and which led to earning a Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985. Bobby was a great man of integrity that loved the Lord with all of his heart and soul. He also displayed that kind of love with everyone he knew. Those who knew Bobby, loved him. He had mercy, compassion, and a genuine love for people that was infectious. He was often told how much he touched people through his beautiful voice and that the love of Jesus radiated out of him when he sang. Bobby leaves behind a rich legacy of love, faithfulness, and music. The light and love of Christ shined like a beacon in his life. Now and forevermore, NO MORE SICKNESS, and NO MORE PAIN! He has joined his precious daughter, Felicia, and many other saints in that Heavenly Choir praising and worshiping Jesus. We can all look forward to hearing him once again shout GLOOOOORY on that glad reunion day! In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his daughter: Felicia Robinson Bryant; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bertie Lois Robinson, Floye and Curtis Hulsey, Jeanette and Noel Little, and T.J. Bell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lowel Robinson, G.M. Robinson, Jr., and Jackie Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Elaine Carruth Robinson of Villa Rica(formerly of Toccoa); daughter and son-in-law: Heather and Lamar Camp of Villa Rica; grandchildren: Lukas Bryant and Lance Bryant, both of Newnan, and Jordan Camp and Emma Rose Camp, both of Villa Rica; great grandson: Tucker James Gray of Villa Rica; sisters and brother-in-law: Hazel Bell and Clohie & Preston Smith, all of Bremen; brother: Wayne Robinson; son-in-law: Larry Bryant of Newnan; sisters-in-law: Catherine Robinson and Billie Robinson, both of Bremen; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2:30 P.M., at Ephesus Baptist Church in Villa Rica with Dr. Billy Godwin, Dr. Keith Moore, and Reverend Frank Gillespie officiating. Music by Bobby Robinson himself and the EBC Celebration Choir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rodney Robinson, Keith Robinson, Mark Robinson, Eric Robinson, Mitchell Robinson, Alan Bell, George Bell, Mike Little and Troy Hulsey officiating.
