Christopher Anderson Moore, age 55, passed away at Harbor View Hospital in Seattle, WA on the afternoon of October 18th, 2023.

Chris was born on August 28, 1968 in San Francisco, CA to John L. A. Moore and Judy Ann Moore of San Francisco.

He graduated from Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA where he was Senior Class President and Co-Captain of the Football team.

He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a founding member of his fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha.

He then enlisted in the US Army where he was Psychological Operations Team Chief(Airborne), served in special operation missions in Haiti and Bosnia and received the Walker Ewing Award.

After leaving the Army he received his Teaching Credential from University of San Francisco followed by a Master in Arts Education degree with an Administrative Services Credential from the University of California, Berkeley.

He passionately pursued his career as an educator first as a teacher at St Peter’s in the San Francisco Mission district and then at Woodland High School. He transitioned to administration as an Assistant and Interim Principal at Mills High School in Millbrae, CA and then served as principal of Ponderosa High School. He then moved to become Assistant Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of the El Dorado Unified High School District.

Chris will be remembered as a man who intensely loved his family, friends, communtiy, music and the beauty of the natural world. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Nakaoka Moore, son Ethan Moore and daughter Hailey Moore of El Dorado Hills, his parents John L. A. Moore and Judy A. Moore of San Francisco, his mother in law Janice Nakaoka, his brother John Patrick Moore and brother in law E. E. Chip Grant, his sister Molly Bridges & brother in law Mark Bridges, nieces Chloe and Phoebe, nephew Luke Bridges of San Francisco, his sister and brother in law Kelli and Jeff Marang, niece Amanda and nephews Jacob and Matthew Marang of Sacramento, CA. His father in law Ralph Nakaoka preceded him in death.
