Larry Joe Thompson 79, of Alpharetta, passed away on Thursday, October 19th, 2023.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Thompson, and his son; Shannon Thompson.

Larry is survived by his daughter; Julie Lanning (Justin).

Brother and sister-in-law; Paul Thompson (Christine); and sister and brother-in-law; Charlotte Roberts (Tyrone).

Larry also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Camen, Christian, and Mikayla.

Other extended family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

A second visitation will be held on Monday, October 23rd, 2023 from 9:00am - 10:30am at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, at Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Brookwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
