Brian Jordan Harthun Obituary

It is with much regret and sadness that we must announce the unexpected passing of our beloved and cherished son Brian Jordan Harthun, of Redmond Oregon. Brian left this world falling into the arms of the Lord on October 8, 2023. Born in Medford, Oregon on August 21, 1992, Brian was just 31 years old. We are reminded that our time on this earth is limited, as only the Lord knows the day and the hour.

Brian spent his formative years in the Medford School system playing youth sports and making friendship a fine art. Brian graduated from Silverton High School in 2011. He was an easy person to be around, putting others before himself in all that he did. Brian loved the great outdoors and even as a grade schooler, he could out fish most adults. He was a quiet and humble person, rarely talking about himself. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, weightlifting, 4-wheeling and most of all snow and water sports. Within the past year, he was able to find and purchase his dream vehicle, a beautiful Chevrolet diesel truck with a tuned engine. He never missed a payment and was looking forward to many more adventures with it.

About 5 years ago, Brian discovered his true passion, powerlifting and working out. He was a member of the USA powerlifting Association (USAPA) and competed in local meets in the 240lb class. Placing high in several meets, he deadlifted 579lbs and squatted 390lbs. His family rooted him in these very competitive meets and were very proud. He was proud. It was a sight to behold, and life was good.

As a working adult in Central Oregon, Brian had worked in the service departments of local dealerships. Brian then found a passion in construction, building custom homes and pole barns. He was working toward obtaining his contractor's license with the goal of owning his own company, “Harthun Construction”. Outside of being a hardworking man, Brian enjoyed traveling with family and friends. He and his father took a remarkable trip through Montana, a trip he had always wanted to make.

Brian is survived by his mother and father, Debbie & Steve Harthun. Brother Michael Harthun, his wife Asia and their 3 children. Sister Nicole Pallotta, her husband Tony and their 4 children. Brian also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Brea Lindbo and their bulldog Louie.

Autumn Funerals of Redmond Oregon will be handling arrangements. Service to be held October 20th, 2023, at Sterlingville Historic Cemetery in Jacksonville Oregon at 1:30pm.

Splendour in the Grass

“What through the radiance

which was once so bright

Be now forever taken from my sight,

Through nothing can bring back the hour

Of splendour in the grass,

of glory in the flower?

We will grieve not, rather find

Strength in what remains behind”

-William Wordsworth
