Agnes T. (Abbood) Stanich, 94, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Stanich. Born in Moosup, CT, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Abbood and the late Evelyn (Arremony) Ciccone. Agnes lived in Johnston since 1950 before moving to Greenville in 2016. She gave up a career as a hairstylist to raise and care for her family with extraordinary love and devotion. She found joy in tending her backyard birdfeeders, traveling the states and abroad, caring for kitty Stella, and boating on the bay with Bob. In all aspects of her life, Agnes was kind, gentle, thoughtful, and compassionate. She was the loving mother of Robert N. Stanich and his wife Edythe of Wilmington, NC and Linda K. Stanich and her husband Douglas A. Stephens of Johnston. She also leaves special cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike (Rt.44) Greenville, Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9:00-10:00am with a Memorial Service immediately following. Burial will be private.
