Obituary

There are many gracious people in the world but very few so gracious as to thank her friends and family for coming to say goodbye on her final days. But that was just how gracious and kind our mom was. Patricia Ann Rodoni passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023 at the age of 87 after a brief illness.

Pat was born on March 21, 1936 to Lionel and Phyllis Langley in Susanville, CA where she had her older brother, Bruce, and many aunts, uncles and cousins to keep her company. In 1945 the Langley family moved to San Andreas, CA, and the following May they welcomed their baby sister, Linda. Pat eventually met and married her first husband, Larry Quarton, and they raised their 2 children, Debra and Daniel. Although Pat worked full time for a local attorney, she never missed any of her kids activities - school, brownies, cub scouts, Jobs Daughters, Little League, etc. After her divorce, Pat relocated to Sacramento where she worked for Lawrence Properties for 30 years. Being the curious and active person she was, she became involved in many community activities and clubs. In her late 40’s she took up snow skiing for the first time skiing locally and traveling to Europe and Canada to ski. Sacramento is also where she met and married her second husband, Rudy Rodoni. They continued to travel with friends, went dancing, and spent time in the garden of their Gold River home. Once Pat retired she joined the Gold River Racquet Club, took advantage of the many classes offered, especially the yoga and water aerobics, and made many lifelong friends at the club. Pat was well known around the club for her friendliness, her engaging smile and always being ‘well put together’ even in exercise attire! And when she wasn’t at the club she was either walking the many trails of Gold River, watching her favorite cooking shows or perusing the aisles of her ‘happy place’ - Trader Joe’s! She also was a volunteer at both the Capitol and the Governor’s Mansion, organizations she enjoyed very much and was very proud to be a part of.

Pat is predeceased by her husband, Rudy Rodoni. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Quarton-Pryce, her son, Daniel Quarton (Jan), her granddaughters, Megan and Kellie Quarton, her sister, Linda Howard, her step-son, Marco Rodoni (Leni), her nieces, Denise Langley and Christine Mangels (Jason), her nephews, R.B. Langley and Clinton Howard as well as 4 grand- nieces and 3 grand-nephews

A service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 4th at Miller’s Funeral Home, 507 Scott Street, Folsom, CA. A reception following the service will be held at the home of Debra Quarton-Pryce.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the American Heart Association.
