Gregory Ellsworth Jackson June 7, 1933-February 3, 2018 Formerly of Chester, NY Gregory Ellsworth Jackson 84 of Shelton Connecticut, formerly of Chester, New York passed away February 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born June 7, 1933 in Bayridge Brooklyn. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy aboard the USS Intrepid and was a proud member of the Chester Golden Age Senior Club for 17 years. Gregory was a compassionate man of great principles who had a good sense of humor.locally, he was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church where he served as a greeter, Eucharistic Minister and taught CCD. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Fannie Jackson; and his three children and their families; two daughters , Barbara Caputo and her husband Christopher, and their children Meagan Caputo, LT Anthony Caputo and Jacqueline Caputo; Mary Jackson ,and her daughters Veronica and Frances Dickel; and his one son, Dr. Gregory E. Jackson Jr and his wife Natalie and their children Mia and Alexander Jackson. He is also survived by one great grandson Alexander Gregory Denney and one sister Anita Engley. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Josephine Jackson, and two brothers; Kenneth and Joseph Jackson. visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm today, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Rt. 17K, Bullville, NY 10915. Burial with Military honors will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY 10924. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
