Margaret Cheryl Broome, Age 66, of Dawsonville GA unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on October 9th 2023 at her workplace. 

Cheryl is preceded in death by her Husband, David Broome ; Parents, Dorothy & Ray Hewatt ; Brothers, Mark & Gary Hewatt 

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Amanda Blanchard ; Brothers & Sisters: Tim Hewatt, Keith Hewatt, Jerry Hewatt, Nathan Hewatt, Jane Pritchett, Raylene Hubbard, Joann Chapman, Carol Pritchett, Charlene Grimes, Jennifer Blevins, Michelle Bentley ; Granddaughter & Grandson-In-Law, Madison & Brandon DeLong ; Grandson, Hunter Blanchard ; Granddaughter, Khloe Blanchard ; Great Granddaughters, Paisley & Haven DeLong

Cheryl was born on October 26th 1956 to Dorothy and Ray Hewatt. She married David Broome and they raised their daughter Amanda Blanchard. Cheryl was a resident of Dawsonville GA. She worked at Advanced Auto Parts and truly enjoyed what she did. Cheryl was the most hard working person you could ever have and was always putting everyone’s thoughts and needs above her own. 

She was a devoted Christian, Mother, Sister & Nana. Cheryl absolutely loved her grandchildren, she took so much pride in them, they were truly her life. She also enjoyed spending time with her Great Granddaughters Paisley and Haven during her off days at work. Cheryl lived a wonderful and joyous life. She was short with a big heart that could lighten up any gloomy day. We know she will be walking those streets of gold to her mansion on a hilltop while watching over all of us here on earth. Her life was lived well and earth is a cruel place to be. Now that she is residing in her kingdom in heaven with God, let us offer prayers and comfort to her friends and family during this difficult time. “Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite” as she would say.  She will be missed greatly by all.

 The family will accept flowers, or you may make a donation to the funeral home to offset the cost of the funeral service.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 from 4pm-9pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at 11am in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

Interment will be at 2pm at Greenlawn Cemetery.
