Otto Eugene Kebschull

<p>Otto Eugene Kebschull, 98, of Harlowton, MT, passed away peacefully Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton. He was born on his Grandad’s homestead below Bridger, MT., to his parents William F. Kebschull &amp; Ruth Creed Kebschull on November 17, 1924.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Otto was raised at his dad’s homestead near Boyd, MT. As a youngster, he drove four head of horses on level and harrow. He attended his first 8 years of school in a one-room schoolhouse, with only one teacher. He later attended Joliet High School, graduating in 1942 at the age of 17. After high school, Otto enlisted in U.S. Navy. He served as a Radio Man 2nd Class, traveling through the South Pacific. Otto was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1946. After returning from serving his country, he met his wife, Martha A. Plowman at a prom in Roberts, MT. They were later married in Fromberg, MT on August 31, 1947. To this union, the family was blessed with two children Jay Otto &amp; Arlene Ann.</p><p><br></p><p>Otto served as a game warden and then later became a letter carrier, from which he retired in 1984. Otto enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son &amp; grandchildren. He loved taking care of his lawn and flowers. He was a member of the Musselshell Masonic Lodge #69, and was a Master Mason, serving in all the chairs for 50 + years, a member of the American Legion Post 15, many times serving as honor guard and member of the Order of the Eastern Star Martha Chapter in White Sulphur Springs.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Martha Ann Kebschull of Harlowton, son Jay Otto Kebschull of Bozeman, and grandchildren Laura Ann Kebschull of Vietnam, Matthew E. Kebschull (Kinsey and great-granddaughter Dahlia Lynn) and Jacob O. Kebschull, all of Bozeman.</p><p><br></p><p>Otto is preceded in death by his daughter, Arlene Ann, parents William &amp; Ruth Kebschull, three brothers and one sister.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial services will be held in the summer of 2024.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions can be made in Otto’s name to the Wheatland County Veteran’s Memorial Wall, P.O.
