It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Douglas (Doug) Ernest Brown of Bear River, NS on October 5, 2023, at the age of 79 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Lane; his stepsons Gordon Reid (Molly) of Winnipeg, MB and Matthew Reid of Bear River, NS. Doug was predeceased by his sister, Barbara, in 1986. He is also mourned by his nephew, Easton Brown, and his cousins, Anne Nichol and Pamela (Rick) Nichol, and Pam's daughter, Justine.

We met Doug over 40 years ago in the Okanagan Valley. From there to the Shuswap, Vancouver, Calgary and finally Bear River, NS. West Coast to East Coast - laughter, tears, dark days and bright days; but always together. Our home feels a little empty. Our thanks to friends and family for their support. This picture portrays Doug at his most comfortable - we love you, Dougie!

We will have a drop-in celebration of Doug's life in the next few months at our home to spend time with friends and family.
