Sr. Arleen Kisiel, OP

<p>Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Arleen Kisiel died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus, OH on October 6, 2023.&nbsp; She was born in 1947 in Cleveland, OH and in 1966 entered the Congregation of St. Mary of the Springs, now Dominican Sisters of Peace. Sr. Arleen earned her BA in Sociology from Ohio Dominican University and her MA in Counseling from the University of Dayton.&nbsp; She taught in OH, PA, IL and MI and did counseling at Southdown in Canada and Hope House in NY.&nbsp; She also was director of Martin de Porres Center in Columbus and served on the leadership team of the Congregation of St. Mary of the Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Adelle Kaniecki Kisiel.&nbsp; She is survived by her brother Ken Kisiel, and her sisters Jan Kisiel and Shelly Mack. A vigil of remembrance and wake will be held from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM on October 19, 2023 at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel, Columbus, OH. A funeral liturgy will be held at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel at 9:00 AM on October 20, 2023.&nbsp; Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by Egan Ryan Funeral Home will be at a later date. Memorial gifts in Sr. Arleen’s memory may be sent to the Dominican Sisters of Peace, Office of Mission Advancement 2320 Airport Drive, Columbus, OH 43219, or submitted securely at oppeace.org. </p>
