Priscilla Greeson Lowe

Mrs. Priscilla Greeson Lowe, age 74, of Julian, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a strong fight. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Burton Greeson, Sr. and the late Ruth Greeson and was married for over 45 years to Johnny Allen Lowe, Sr., who passed in 2007. She was in the last graduating class of Nathanael Greene High School and was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. She was previously employed with Burlington Industries and for the last 25 years she was a hairdresser with A Step Ahead. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her children, Kimberly Hamby and her husband, Wayne, Angela Straughan and her husband, Timmy, all of Julian, Johnny Allen “Tubby” Lowe, Jr. and his wife, Gayle, and John Michael “Moose” Lowe all of Greensboro; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two “adopted” daughters, Regina York and Kamrin Marks and their families; two sisters, Gwen Hall and Bonnie Thompson; two brothers, R. B. Greeson, Jr. and Marshall Greeson; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grandson Casey Lee Straughan, a sister Cindy Clapp and two brothers Earl Greeson and Weldon Greeson. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ by Rev. Kristen Gerner-Vaughn. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, 2400 Mt Hope Church Rd, Whitsett, NC 27377. You may sign the online register book at www.lowefuneralhome.com.
