Theodore Howell

THEODORE HOWELL, age 71 of Piqua, passed away at 6:50 P.M. on Sunday November 6, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH.  He was born in Piqua, OH to Betty A. (Tilton) Howell of Piqua and to the late Waldo F. Howell on August 14, 1945. He married Rosemary (Fuller) Howell on July 18, 1964 in Piqua, OH. She survives. Theodore is also survived by three daughters and son-in-law: Constance Peters, West Liberty, KY, Barbara & Jerry Haney, Piqua, OH, Margaret Howell, Piqua, OH, two sisters: Karen Bowman, Piqua, OH, Chris Miller, Piqua, OH, six grandchildren: Teddy Howell, Kirstin & Chris Beculhimer, Hubert Wright, Chris Haney, Andrew & Brook Haney, Mike Haney; seven great-grandchildren: Kamdyn, Hallee, Quintin, Myles, Holdin Haney, Kinzie Beculhimer, Bentley Reed-Wright. Two Loving Bunnies: Teddy and Abigail. He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Larry Bowman. He attended Piqua Central High School. He was a member of the Piqua Church of the Nazarene. He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association, the American Motorcycle Association, the Goldwing Road Riders, and a 10-year survivor of breast cancer. He was a lifelong carpenter and master craftsman. He built shrines for Schoenstatt Movement. He donated a lot of his time to the Catholic Community. He also went to different craft shows in the surrounding area. He worked for Shefbuch builders for 25 years and retired from Piqua Emery Foundry in 2007.   Funeral services will be held Friday November 11, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Piqua Church of the Nazarene with the Pastor Steve Spoon and Lincoln Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua.
