<p>Betty Mary Crea Umbrell Fisher, 94, of Traditions of Hershey, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, in the Hershey Medical Center. </p><p><br></p><p>Born in Harrisburg on June 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Guy S. and Crea Emery Umbrell.</p><p><br></p><p>Betty had worked for the Gladstone Candy Factory in Hummelstown, and in the Kiss Department for the Hershey Chocolate Factory before working for the former Hesteco Dress &amp; Sportswear Manufacturing Company from which she retired. Betty was a member and active volunteer of Calvary United Methodist Church, Harrisburg, and its ABC Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club of Hummelstown. Betty loved her church, and enjoyed reading, cross stitching, cooking, and baking. However, most important to Betty was caring for her husband of 69 years, her sons and family. The love she had for her whole family and many friends was unconditional.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy R. Fisher, on February 14, 2019; an infant granddaughter; a grandson, Russell Allen Fisher; two sisters, Dorothy Gordon and Janet Heisey; and four brothers, Robert Umbrell, William Umbrell, John Umbrell and Joe Umbrell.</p><p><br></p><p>Betty is survived by four sons, Gary L. Fisher husband of Lynn of Moneta, VA, Daniel R. Fisher husband of Pat of Mechanicsburg, Randy J. Fisher of Cross Hill, South Carolina, and Thomas M. Fisher of Seven Valleys; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two step grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life service will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11 AM in Calvary United Methodist Church, 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, with The Rev. Randall G. Bennett, Jr., her pastor officiating. A private inurnment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Visitation will be Monday in the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. </p><p><br></p><p>Trefz &amp; Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is entrusted with the arrangements.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Vision Corps Foundation, 244 North Queen Street, Suite 301, Lancaster, PA 17603; or to Calvary United Methodist Church, 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109.</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be shared at www.trefzandbowser.com.</p>
