Lawerence E. Witherite
<p>Lawerence E. “Larry” Witherite, 76 of Fleming passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Wynnwood House. Larry was born on December 18, 1946 in Rebersburg, a son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Hall Witherite. On April 25, 1965 he married the former Alice Gates who preceded him in death on July 11, 2007. Larry is survived by his sons, Lawerence E. (Lisa) Witherite, Jr of Dry Run, Terry L. (Sherri) Witherite of Fayetteville, Tony A. (Elizabeth Ruggiero) Witherite of Morrisdale, Ricky J. (Robin) Witherite of Jacksonville, FL and Randy (Lisa) Witherite of Indianapolis, IN. Also surviving is his sister, Edna (Samuel) Ritter; and his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife Alice, he was preceded in death by his son Andrew Witherite and his siblings, Walter Lynn Witherite, Marie Witmer, Malcolm “Mick” Witherite, Carl Witherite, Wayne Witherite and Samuel Witherite.</p><p><br></p><p>Larry was a self-employed truck driver for L & A Trucking. He was of the Methodist Faith. He was a member of NRA, and the Milesburg American Legion Post 893.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6 PM – 8 PM at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co.</p><p><br></p><p> Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K.
