Rebecca Lynn Strothkamp was born to Robert E. and Marylin (Wilken) Cooper on December 23, 1958, in Hebron, Nebraska. She departed this life peacefully with God in her heart on September 9, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 64.

As an infant she was baptized at Grace Lutheran in Hebron. Rebecca had a great love for singing, playing volleyball, her absolute favorite talent in her high school years she found great joy in was baton twirling for the Hebron High School Marching band. Becky also was in Band, Spirit Club, Girls Glee, Chorus, and was Student Manager of Track and Field.

After graduating from High School in 1977. She worked as a C.N.A for Blue Valley Lutheran inHebron as well as Home Healthcare. She always had a big heart and a passion to take care of others.

Rebecca was joined in holy Matrimony with Michael E. Strothkamp in April of 1980. After four years of marriage their daughter Amber Michela was born.

In 1986 the family moved from Geneva, Nebraska to Bruning. Rebecca stayed busy taking care of her family for many years. Her passions were traveling and cooking with a big heart to always re-visit the ocean again someday soon. With a heart full of spiritual freedom she loved her dreams of having wings and flying thru the sky and a deep love of Classic Rock.

She was always a fun mom, grandma, sister, aunt bringing joy to every occasion. She had a vivacious

personality and always made the people around her laugh. She lived her life always saying “You Only

Live Once”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Marylin N. (Wilken) Cooper. Brother-in-law Jim Buller.

She is the devoted mother of her daughter, Amber (Jesse) West of Armour South Dakota; her

grandson Ryker West. Sister Janice Buller of Hebron Nebraska. Niece Stacey O’Neal of Camdenton

Missouri. Nephew, Ryan Buller of Lincoln Nebraska, many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, NE at 11 AM. No Visitation/Cremation. Organist Janet Nielson, congregational hymns; "Rock Of  Ages", "On Eagles Wings", and "Beautiful Savior". Memorial in care of the family, condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com.
