<p>In Loving Memory of</p><p>Eloy Davila, Sr.</p><p>March 11, 1939 - September 7, 2023</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Eloy Davila Sr., a man known to his family and friends to give the most of himself to those he loved, passed away on September 7, 2023 at the age of 84 at his home in Pearland, TX.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on March 11, 1939, Eloy had an extensive life that took him from his hometown of Aransas Pass, TX to locations around the world as he served various branches of the U.S. military after graduating from Aransas Pass High School. Eventually, he found himself in Houston, TX looking for new adventures in life and work. He met his life-long wife and partner, Rosa S. Davila, in 1968. Their romance was love at first sight and soon they would be dating and eventually be married in 1971. Their life together would be spent in Pearland, TX where they continued to reside to this day.</p><p><br></p><p>Eloy enjoyed aviation and aerospace, particularly his admiration for NASA and watching space shuttle launches. He appreciated exploring aviation museums as well as attending airshows. He also embraced science fiction and the idea of extraterrestrial life. Eloy's interest in the world history, particular military history, inspired him to delve deep into the narratives of the past. In his leisure time, he found solace in watching westerns, especially as a devoted fan of the legendary actor, John Wayne.</p><p><br></p><p>Eloy leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his beloved wife, Rosa S. Davila, his son Eloy Davila Jr., his son Christopher Davila and daughter-in-law Irene. He also leaves behind his daughters Yvonne, Dolores, Michelle, and Marjorie, as well as grandchildren including Lauren Davila and Iris Davila, along with his brother Frank Davila and sisters Dorothy Davila and Irene Davila. Eloy was preceded in death by his son Dwayne Davila, brother Victor Davila Jr., parents Victor Davila Sr. and Marina Madrigal, and grandmother Lupe Pena Davila.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation in honor of Eloy's life will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, starting at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home, located at 2300 East Mulberry, Angleton, Texas 77515. Funeral services, commencing at 11:00 a.m., will follow the visitation. Eloy will be laid to rest at Angleton Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace.</p><p><br></p><p>During this time of mourning, we kindly ask that you keep the family of Eloy in your thoughts and prayers.
