Norma Ruth Sturm, 86, of Philipsburg, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on November 16, 1936 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Norman G. and Ruth H. (Schandelmeier) Bloom.

She is survived by two children, Richard (Debbie) Mick of Ginter, and Pamela (Bill) Lang of Arizona; a brother, George Bloom of Houtzdale; a sister, Sandy Weston of West Sunbury; six grandchildren, Crystal Reams, Richie Mick, Timmy Mick, Tiffany Schultz, Jeremiah Bauman, and Cheyenne Lang; four great-grandchildren, Dustin Moskel, Taylor Reams, Avery Jarrett, and Madison Fyock.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Fyock, and a granddaughter, Leanna Reese.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3pm at Madera UMC, 96 Spruce St., Madera, PA 16661. Pastor Robert Ford will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Fruit Hill Cemetery.
