Gloria Kay Gabbert Obituary

Gloria Kay Ramage Gabbert, 82, passed away at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Born August 23, 1941, in Vardaman, she was the daughter of the late Versie V. Ramage and the late Clara Mae Mosley Ramage. Gloria graduated from Derma High School, as a part of the last class of graduates from there in 1959. She was a lifelong member of Derma Baptist Church, and was retired from the ASCS Office after over 35 years of service . On October 14, 1960, she married the love of her life, Dock Gabbert, and they have spent over 60 wonderful years together until his passing in 2020. She also was the keeper of the Derma High School reunion. She wanted to ensure the memory of the school she loved so much stayed alive in those who attended it. Those who knew her knew the love she had for her dogs. Many times a day, she could be found at the Regions Bank drive thru, with her dogs Angel in the backseat and Rascal in the front seat, to get them a dog biscuit. Something else she loved was Elvis, who she was known to listen to for the entire 5 hour drive to Gulfport. She also raised white doves in her backyard. She was a kind, life-loving woman, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
