<p>Kay Mashaw Oliver, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1951, in Taft, California to Jesse James and Bobbie Lucille (Brown) Mashaw. </p><p>Kay was an incredibly strong and loving woman. Her love for her family was her driving force. She had a heart that overflowed with love and compassion. Always ready to lend a helping hand or words of encouragement. Throughout life’s challenges and hardships Kay faced each with optimism, resilience, and grace. </p><p>As a devoted mother, Kay left an indelible imprint on the lives of her two daughters, Crystal Burrow and Ashley Oliver; and her granddaughters Torri and Taylor Burrow. She cherished every moment spent with them, and her love and guidance will forever shape them. Kay's nurturing and supportive nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she deeply cared for her stepchildren that she claimed as her own Charles “Bubba” Oliver, Teresa Wilkerson, and Christi Roe as well as her dear brother, Jimmy Mashaw, with whom she shared a special bond. She admired her brother immensely, and always looked to him for guidance and reassurance throughout her entire life. Although Jimmy is two years younger, she always referred to him as her “Big little brother”. Kay was preceded in death by her parents Jesse James Mashaw Jr., Bobbie Lucille Crawford (Brown), and her husband Charles Ray Oliver.</p><p><br></p><p>A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Angleton Cemetery.</p><p><br></p>
