<p>Bennie Jo Hudson DeYampert, 85 of Marion, AL passed away on August 23, 2023, surrounded by her children. She was born on December 17, 1937, in Cullman, AL to Asa Hudson and Georgia Nina Elizabeth Barnett. While partnering with her husband Bob, farming led them into a grocery business and later she retired from The State of Alabama Court System after 25 years of service. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert W. DeYampert; and her sister Sue Everly. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Clark; her sons: Bill DeYampert (Gail), and Luke Deyampert (Londa); her sister, Willadean Gambrell,; and her brother, Allen Hudson (Hannah). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: John Nichols (Jennifer), Amelia Wade (David), Sam DeYampert (Brandi), Taylor DeYampert (Courtney), L.J. DeYampert (Emily), Lee DeYampert, and Kirkland Clark; and her six great-grandchildren: Beau Nichols, Dawson Nichols, Kennedy Nichols, Peyton Griffin, Quenton Wade, and Fitzgerald DeYampert. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday August 25, 2023 at the Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Marion. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. George Washburn officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be: John Nichols, Sam DeYampert, Taylor DeYampert, L.J. DeYampert, Lee DeYampert, and Kirkland Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Shane, Ben and Hannah Lee; Vaughan physicians and staff; and the staff of Perry County Nursing Home.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
