Agnes J Kochik

Agnes J. Kochik, 93, of Moshannon, was surrounded by her loving family at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home, when she left this earth and entered her heavenly kingdom on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Born on April 6, 1930, in Moshannon, she was the daughter of the late Clifford C. and Mary A. (Tubridy) Reiter. On June 3, 1950, she married the love of her life, David F. Kochik. David passed away on June 6, 2008.

Agnes was a 1947 graduate of Cooper Township High School. She worked in the front office at JH France Refractories, retiring in 1989 after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Queen of Archangels Parish Chapel in Snow Shoe, where she served on the Altar and Rosary committee for many years.

Agnes was always wanting to help others. She volunteered at the Moshannon Community Center, Snow Shoe Senior Center, and the Snow Shoe Lions Club. She would do anything for anyone who needed help.

Agnes is survived by her two sons: Ronald D. Kochik and his wife, Sharon, of Deatsville, AL, and Richard J. Kochik and his wife, Judi, of Raleigh, NC, one sister, Ellen Wolf of Moshannon.

She also survived by her six grandchildren: Jeffry Kochik, Jamie Kochik Collier, Susan Kochik, Scott Kochik, Stephen Kochik, and Sean Kochik, and eight great grandchildren.

There will be a small graveside service on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11am at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe with Father Michael Wolfe officiating.
