Robert Ellsworth Goodwin
<p>Robert Ellsworth Goodwin, Jr., “Robbie” passed away at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH on July 31, 2023 after a period of declining health.</p><p><br></p><p>Robbie was born in York, ME on October 19, 1956 to Robert E. Goodwin Sr., and Patricia A. Fuller. He grew up in Berwick, ME and attended the Noble District Schools, enjoying all things small town life offers. He especially enjoyed camping out, fishing, snowmobiling and riding his dirt bike.</p><p><br></p><p>He enlisted in the Army instead of finishing High School and shortly after was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Robbie battled these symptoms for the rest of his adult life.</p><p><br></p><p>Robbie will be fondly remembered for his sweet gentle nature, his warm infectious humor and his insatiable appetite for scratch tickets.</p><p><br></p><p>He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Gehring; his brother Darren Goodwin, his brother-in-law Alfred Boudreau and nephews Barret Boudreau and Matthew Goodwin.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Steven Goodwin, Debra Kenney, Wanda Boudreau, Kevin Goodwin, Regina DeVoll, Catherine McKenna, Will Gehring; his stepfather, William Gehring, Sr.; dozens of nieces and nephews and his cat Buddy.</p><p><br></p><p>A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:30 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick.</p><p><br></p><p>To share a memory or leave a message of condolence, please visit Robbie’s Book of Memories Page at www.bibberfuneral.com</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel, 62 Cemetery Road, Berwick, ME 03901. www.bibberfuneral.com</p><p><br></p>Obituary
