Linda Jean Gordon (Kings), 70, died peacefully at her residence on July 31, 2023, in Eagle River, AK. Linda was born July 12, 1953, in Eau Claire, WI to Fred and Molly Jean Kings. The family moved to Alaska in October 1958, leaving behind a large, extended family. In 1963, the identical twin sister of Molly Jean, Mary Jane Elliott, and her family, moved to Alaska and lived on the same street.

Linda graduated from East High School in 1971 and earned an associate degree in culinary arts at UAA. She met her husband, Ron Gordon, at school and they prepared tasty meals together, often from wild game and garden delicacies, for more than fifty years. Their children, Heidi and Holly were surrounded by their mother's beautiful creations; heirloom clothes sewing, fur sewing, beading, wire jewelry, card making, drawing, and painting using all available mediums, especially alcohol inks. Linda was well loved by her church family and in her neighborhood. She had a talent for growing plants and friendships.

Linda is preceded in death by her sister Rita, and their parents Fred and Jean Kings.

Linda is survived by Ron Gordon; daughters Heidi Groshong and Holly Gordon; brother Kevin Kings; grandchildren Christopher Hatfield, Courtney Gordon, and Michelle Groshong; uncle Art Elliott; cousins Nancy Shannon, Tom Elliott, Keith and Loren Russell and their families. Linda has a large extended family outside of Alaska.

Services will be held Monday, August 7th at ACF Church at 1:30 pm, with a reception to follow, 16620 Brooks Loop, Eagle River, AK.
