Springfield- Rafael Antonio Mojica, 70, of Springfield, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2023. Rafael was born on January 28, 1953 to Jesus Mojica and Carmen Concepcion in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Rafael was reborn again when he gave his life to Christ 26 years ago. From that day on he became a faithful member of the Spanish Christian Church A/G.

Rafael worked as a Medical Interpreter in Holyoke Medical Center for many years. Here he found his passion for serving others while also spreading the love of Christ to every person he encountered.

Rafael was predeceased by his parents, Jesus Mojica and Carmen Concepcion, and his sister Gogui Mojica. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Abigail; his four children: Israel, Carmen, Alexis and Ana Valeria; his four grandchildren; his sister Ana Iris Mojica and many brothers and sisters not related by blood but by heart.

Visitation hours will be on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Friday, July 21st, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Spanish Christian Church, 565 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA, followed by his burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA.
