Jane Morris DeLee Obituary

Beatrice “Jane” Morris DeLee, 76, a resident of Clinton, LA died on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at her home. She was employed for over 33 years by the State of Louisiana. There will be a visitation on Friday, July 14, 2023, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Clinton, LA from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 9:30 am until funeral services at 10:30 am, conducted by Fr. Van Windsor and Rev. Chris Curry. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Clinton. She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Dewey W. DeLee; one daughter, Juliana DeLee Daniels and husband Todd Anthony Daniels of Montgomery, AL; two sons: Scott M. DeLee and his wife Marti E. DeLee of Zachary, LA; Spencer DeLee of St. Francisville, LA; one brother, Robert “Bobby” Morris of North Carolina; four grandchildren: Dylan Scott DeLee, Roy Hunter DeLee, Andrew Kade DeLee; and Emily Corrine Daniels; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe L. Morris, her mother, Beatrice Rogers Morris, and her brother, Tommy Morris. Pallbearers will be Scott Morris DeLee, Spencer DeLee, Dylan Scott DeLee, Hunter DeLee, Andrew Kade DeLee, John Henry Rogers, Michael Kilcrease, Jody Baxter, and Hank Forrester. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Daniels and the 1964 graduating class of St. Francisville High School. She was a long-time member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church and numerous civic organizations. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and her generous acts of compassion and love. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Clinton, LA.
