Scott Alan Effenbeck of Belvidere, NE the son of Leland and Edith (Dolezal) Effenbeck was born February 18, 1968 in Alliance, NE. He departed this life Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 55 years.

 

Scott grew up and attended school in Deshler, NE graduating from Deshler High School with the class of 1986.

 

He married Elaine Rust July 1, 1989 at the Lutheran Church in Superior, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.

 

Scott worked on the family farm helping with the milking and what ever else needed to be done. Later he went to work for Jerry Sterba welding, Feedlot Fencing, and Thayer County Dept. of Roads before starting his own business Midwest Dirt Works, doing excavating for various people in many counties. He also demolished numerous buildings around the county.

 

He enjoyed being out in God’s great creation, hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He attended his children’s sporting events, took them fishing and hunting, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his father.

 

He is survived by his mother Edith Effenbeck of Hebron, NE, sons Cody Effenbeck and Dana of Deshler, NE, Garrett Effenbeck and wife Nicole of Hebron, NE, daughter Autumn Effenbeck and husband Austin Calvert of IL, sister Kristin Timmerman and husband Kyle of Hebron, NE, grandchildren; Addison, Kipton, Blakelyn, Liam, Easton Effenbeck, Bennett and McCoy Calvert, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 

Following Scott’s wishes, no visitation, he was buried Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Belvidere, Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Belvidere Church in Belvidere, NE at 2pm. Special Music by Joe and Sue Dolezal. Honorary casket bearers are Grandchildren. Officiant will be Pastor Brian Faust, Memorials in care of the family. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron, NE is in charge of arrangements.
