Thomas Edward Allen, 64, of Mitchell passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell with Pastor Dave Sterkel officiating. Memorials can be made to Regional West Hospice. Tom was born August 29, 1958, in Scottsbluff to Joseph and Joyce (Lougee) Allen. Tom grew up in Mitchell, NE and attended Mitchell Public Schools. Tom was married to Diane Landstrom and they had three children, Trevor, Travis and Tenille.

Tom was a hard worker and spent many years driving trucks and working at various feedlots in the Valley. Tom was a great cook and the baker of the family. He was well known for his pie-making abilities. When not working, Tom’s favorite past times were camping, fishing, and boating. He loved being on the water.

Tom is survived by his children, Trevor Allen of Denver, CO; Travis Allen of Haxtun, CO; and Tenille Allen of Haxtun, CO. Grandchildren Amberly (Cody) Brown, Valarie Allen, Daphani Allen, Trenton Allen and Troiden Allen, and 3 great-grandchildren all of Haxtun, CO. Brothers, Bill (Rita) Allen of Columbus, NE; Dave (Priscilla) Allen of Mitchell, NE; Ron (Terri) Allen of Scottsbluff, NE and Jerry (Jerri) Allen of Mitchell, NE as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
