Vivian Iwona Jones

Vivian Iwona Jones, age 95, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with her maker Christmas Eve morning December 24, 2017. Well-known in the community she had lived in the Atlanta area for more than fifty years. She was a servant of the Lord and a member of Bethsaida “Y” Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leonard Jones; son, Boyd Allen Jones; one sister; and three brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Derouen and husband Ron of Lubbock, Texas, Mara Tobias and husband Pat of Madisonville, Texas; daughter-in-law, Linda Jones of Bloomburg, Texas; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. George Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Bethsaida “Y” Cemetery.

Elaine, I am just seeing this & I am heartbroken that I didn't know Ms. Vivian had gone home to be with her Lord. I have such fond memories of her when I was her Sun. school teacher at the "Y". She was a precious lady.
