Michael R Murnyack Obituary

Michael R. Murnyack, 54, of Clarence, entered into his eternal rest with his family by his side on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at home. Born on June 15, 1969, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Alexander F. Murnyack of Clarence and the late Sandra R. (Hennon) Murnyack.

Micheal graduated from Bald Eagle Area High School in 1987. He worked as a carpenter for various companies, and was a union member for Heavy Highway, Labor Union 1058, and Carpenter 2274 for many years. He loved his work in construction.

Michael was a member of the Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Clarence as well. He was very involved in sports growing up and enjoyed watching all sports on TV in his free time. He loved being in the woods and the great outdoors. He did not care if he was cutting firewood, shooting his guns, hunting, fishing, or any other activites, as long as he was outside, he was happy. For a time, he taught others how to hunt and fish, sharing his passion with them and in turn, watching the joy overcome them when they caught that fish or took down their game. He loved spending time with family and especially his children. He was a strong, determined man that never shyed away from a hard days work. Loved and missed by many, his memory and legacy will live on in all those blessed to have known him.

Along with his father, Michael is survived by his daughter, Samantha D. Murnyack and her boyfriend, Tim, of Clarence; his son, Michael R. Murnyack and his girlfriend, Brook, of Clarence; one brother, Mark A. Murnyack and his wife, Kerri, of Northfield, VT; three sisters, Michelle R. Simpson and her husband, James, of Port Matilda, Melissa A. Robinson and her husband, Paul, of Howard, and Merrilyn M. Dunlap and her husband, Matthew, of Shippenville; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all of which he loved very much.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Rosary service at 7:45pm, at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 11am at the Queen of Archangels Parish Church in Clarence with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. Michael will be laid to rest privately at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Clarence.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Queen of Archangels Parish Church, 102 Church St. Clarence, PA 16829.
