Alma Jean Northern

   Alma Jean Northern, 91, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of Providence, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Bell Oaks Assisted Living in Newburgh.

   She was born December 26, 1931 to the late Harvey Moore and Eva Bell Adkins Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gordon Northern, and her son, Michael Paul Northern.

   Alma worked at Northern Printing and Office Supplies in Providence. She loved to read, cook, and enjoyed traveling. She most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

   She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Scott, and her husband, Alan of Newburgh, IN; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Providence Chapel with Bro. James Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay, KY.

   Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home in Providence.

Pallbearers will be Joe Harbour, Courtney Kelly, Alan Stewart, Keith Northern, and James Messer.
