BELGRADE, MAINE

Willis G. Ellsworth, age 77, died Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the VA Hospital at Togus following a long illness. He was born in Sanford, FL on July 16, 1945, a son of the late George E. and Mary C. (Richards) Ellsworth.

Mr. Ellsworth was a US Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War.

He had been employed by Associated Grocers for many years.

Mr. Ellsworth was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the American Legion.

He was pre-deceased by wife, Mary Theresa Lorraine (Gorneau) Ellsworth.

Mr. Ellsworth is survived by his son, William Ellsworth and his wife Kirsten of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters: Bridgett Fisher and husband Brad of Benton and Kimberly Wacome and husband Eric of Belgrade; two brothers: Eugene E. Ellsworth of Sidney and Michael D’Andrea of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren, Bryanna Wilson, James C. Lemelin, Jacob Fisher, Abby Wacome, Elizabeth and Sophia and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. A committal service with military honors will be held on Monday, June 26th at 1 PM at the committal shelter in the old Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Dr., Augusta.
