<p>PATRICIA (Patty) JANE BEAVIN </p><p>Patty was born February 28, 1964 and passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023 surrounded by her family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Anna Marie and Paul Breen and Frances and Forrest Beavin; parents: Mary Jo and Bill Beavin; sister: Susan Frances Beavin; nephew: Paul Thomas Beavin, Jr.; and many beloved aunts and uncles. </p><p>She is survived by her siblings: Jo Ann Thombs (David), Kitty Steffenhagen (Bill), Forrest Beavin (Tina), and Paul Beavin (Mary Ann); nieces: Jenny Beasley (Robin) of Birmingham, Susan George (Robert), and Susan Griffith (Jonathan); nephews: Jay Bracewell (Melissa), Will Beavin (Katie), Patrick Beavin (Sarah), and John Beavin; and several great nieces and nephews. </p><p>Patty graduated from Father Ryan High School. She received a BS degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Alabama, and a RN BSN from Belmont University. Patty had a loving and caring spirit, and a passion for helping others throughout her life; from her time in Florida just after college planning activities at senior living facilities, to hospital and home health nursing in Nashville, and volunteering for numerous charities including Fannie Battle, The Nashville Rescue Mission, and Room in the Inn. &nbsp;While her desire to help never stopped, her disabilities made it impossible to continue. Patty loved nature, the ocean and the lake. She loved being outdoors, and she loved her dogs; Abby, Lily, Maggie, and Zeda were her constant companions and an important part of her life. Her Catholic faith was her rock and her strength carrying her through the many trials in her life. </p><p>Funeral Mass will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation before from 9:00 to 11:00. Father Mark Beckman will be the celebrant. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery beside her sister Susan. </p><p>Donations in her memory can be made to Father Ryan High School, 700 Norwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37204, St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205, or a charity of your choice. </p>
