Rory J. Cox Obituary

Rory J. Cox, 41, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He died of complications related to kidney disease and epilepsy.

Rory was born in Portland, OR on December 17, 1981, and lived his entire life in Beaverton, OR.  He graduated from Beaverton High School in 2000.

Rory resided at The Bridge Apartments for most of his adult life.  There he made many friends and enjoyed participating in various activities.

Rory enjoyed bowling, playing pool, playing board and dice games, scrapbooking, card making, video games, movies, listening to music and watching TV.  He also loved pizza and looked forward to Friday night pizza outings with his dad.  He was very close to his care provider, William, who was a very important part of his life.  William spent many hours each week with Rory helping him shop, plan and prepare meals, dine out, or enjoy other community activities such as catching a movie, or shooting some pool.

Survivors include his mom Karen (Land) Cox, dad Jerry Cox, stepdad Roch Reasoner, and sister Erica Reasoner.

He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins:  Uncle Bryan Land (Aunt Kerry) and their children Nathan, Mollie and Jenna and their families.  Aunt Kay (Cox) Marsh and (Uncle Jerry) and their children Kari and Joni and their families.  And Uncle John J.
