<p>Carol S. Rankin, 68, of Roseville, IL, passed away at 3:15 a.m, Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born September 22, 1954 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Vivian (Clark) Long. She was raised and educated in Galesburg graduating from Galesburg High School in 1972. She later attended Carl Sandburg College for Cosmetology. </p><p>She married Dennis (Bear) Rankin on August 13, 1994 at the First Baptist Church in Galesburg. </p><p>Surviving Carol is her husband, Bear; children, Tom (Lacy) McGee, Dustin (Becca) Rankin; grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Heath, Holden, Brantley and Eastin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. </p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Terry Long. </p><p>Carol worked as a beautician for several years in Galesburg. She worked as an advocate and drove a bus for the Head-start program, worked for Fisher Foods in Roseville, and was an EMT for the local ambulance service. She also drove a bus for Monmouth-Roseville Pre-K until her retirement in 2019. </p><p>Carol enjoyed crafting and selling her creations during Scenic Drive. She enjoyed watching her television shows and watching the hummingbirds in her yard. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. She volunteered with the local 4-H club and was a cub scout leader. She was a member of the Galesburg Rainbow Girls. She was also a member of the Roseville Baptist Church. </p><p>Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2023. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements. </p>
