Marolyn Yurkow Jones, age 74, of Madison, MS, passed away on May 30, 2023, at her home while surrounded by her family and friends who loved her.

Marolyn was born on March 28, 1949, in Leland, MS and was the daughter of John and Helen Jacobs Yurkow. Her family moved to Cleveland, MS and she attended high school and college at Delta State University where she received her teaching degree. Marolyn married Thomas A. Jones, IV on May 23, 1971, and after living in Senatobia for 14 years, Marolyn retired as an English teacher from Magnolia Heights School in Senatobia, MS. They resided in New Albany, MS for 30 years before moving to Madison, MS in 2018. Marolyn loved to shop and has an extensive collection of shoes and handbags to show for it. Her high school classmates remained friends throughout her life and they enjoyed their time together over the years traveling, shopping and just visiting. Marolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Allison Jones Impastato and Andrew Inpastato; grandchildren, Jack and Anna Impastato; sister, Kay Yurkow Chudy and her husband Mike, and many nieces and nephews.

Marolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John C. Yurkow.

There will be a casual visitation on Saturday, June 3, 2023, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to John Yurkow Scholarship Fund at Delta State University, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Covenant Presbyterian Church, Cleveland, MS.
