Joanne M Arnold (Haerden)

The matriarch of our family, loved by all who knew her, found peace in heaven on May 30, 2023.

Joanne was born July 30, 1938 in Mound MN. Her career started in banking at Northwestern Bank in Mpls, where she was featured walking in the first “skyway” in Mpls. Her life forever changed in 1958 when she met her true love, Vic Arnold. Settling in Elk River, MN, Joanne dedicated her life to raising her family, Robert and Jenifer. Her favorite day was Sunday; Church, brunch, MN Vikings football and family dinner. She always said one can never have enough sides with a meal, and must include dessert. Joanne gave her time and love to all, including volunteering for Guardian Angels in Elk River for 37 years. Joanne and her husband Vic were honored as volunteers of the year for the state of MN in 2011.

Simply put, Joanne is irreplaceable and will be immensely missed by her family and friends.

Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Arnold Jr.; parents, Ambrose and Louise Haerden; sister, Janet Blackowiak and brother-in-law, George Blackowiak; niece, Deb Bregenzer.

She is survived by her children, Robert Arnold (Melissa), Jenifer McClure; grandchildren, Melissa Classon (Tanner), Michael Arnold, Marie Newton (Jacob), Ryder McClure, Charles McClure; sister-in-law, Susan Bregenzer; nieces, Mary Berg (Donnie), Sandra Kirberger (Kenny); nephew, David Blackowiak; and niece Susan Blackowiak; special great nephews and niece, Dan Kirberger, Jenna Kirberger (Brian) and Steve Kirberger (Jorden); many other extended family and friends.

A special thanks to her neighborhood caregivers- Teresa Klevens, Sheryl and Jeff Collins, and Jason Cyr.

Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of Saint Andrew on Friday, June 2nd at 10:30 am, with reviewal one hour prior. Interment at Our Lady of The Lake Cemetery in Mound, MN.
