Shirley Ann Downey, 72, wife of Fred Allen Downey, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on September 9, 1950, to the late Henry Gibson and Laura Wolfe.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Fred; son, Ronald Napier; daughter, Jennifer Moore (Barrett); two grandchildren, Zachary Felkins, and Baylor Napier; as well as a host of other family and friends who will mourn her passing. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Henry Everett Napier; and two siblings, Louise Clarkston, and Gary Gibson.
