Anthony Jay Pinette Obituary

Topsham - On Tuesday May 30th 2023, Anthony “Tony” Jay Pinette 69 of Brunswick, found the best fishing, hunting, and camping anywhere. His wife Joy Pinette and their dog JayJay never left his side till they had to.

Tony was born October 2nd,1953 to Alfred James Pinette and Gloria Alfreda Pinette (Pertell) in Brunswick Me, and he shared his parents with 4 other siblings;
his brother Leo Pinette and his wife Dolores, their children Tracie and Dale, his sister Phyllis Coombs and her husband Walter, their son Jason, his brother Jeffrey Pinette and his wife Lori, their children Jeffrey, Michael, Meghan, Gabe, and Diana Rose, and his brother James Pinette and wife Becky, their son Craig.
Tony married young and lived fast, divorcing in 1989 he had 2 daughters Aimee and Shannon with his ex-wife Jill.
He joined the United States Navy in 1973 and proudly served as an airman recruit until 1975.  He rounded out his career by working at BIW until his retirement.

Many years spent hauling traps, hunting, fishing, and making the mischief. Always quick with a joke to lighten the mood.  He looked forward to his yearly Moosehead Lake camping trip to see the sea planes.
In 2016 he met Joy and changed her life forever. Together they went camping and many day trips around the state with their dog Jay Jay. Empowering her with the confidence to open her shell and even showing her that it is absolutely possible to steam lobster and clams over a fire while roughing it in a tent.

In every way the 7 years they shared together were a cherished love story, and definitely not long enough. They both had a different shine about them whenever they looked at each other.

Tony is survived by his siblings and daughters, his wife Joy and her children Tiffany Briggs, fiancée Christopher Wallace and their son Cayde. And of course JayJay, his dog.

He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Gloria, and his dog Shelby.

In lieu of flowers please donate to veterans organizations and thank a veteran for their service and sacrifice.  Thank you.
