<b>Bernice J. Benson (nee Jurus), age 75, a resident of Lisle, IL since 1985, formerly of Western Springs and Downers Grove, IL, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at Seasons Hospice Home in Naperville, IL. She was born August 31, 1938 in Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of Edward L. "Bud" Benson, whom she married October 12, 1968, loving mother of Nancy (Steve) Garwood of Batavia, IL, Joia Benson of Lisle and Greg (Nancy) Benson of Naperville, adored grandmother of Whitney, Lauren and Sean Garwood; Matthew and Emma Benson, devoted daughter of the late Stephen and Lucille Jurus, dear sister of David "Donald" Jurus of Oak Forest, IL, John A. (Gaye Carter) Jurus of Oak Forest, William Jurus of Beecher, IL and the late Emmett (the late Beatrice) Jurus, the late Thomas (Margie) Jurus and the late Bernard Jurus, fond aunt and great-aunt of many. Bernice grew up on Chicago's South Side and was a graduate of Maria High School, where she was a majorette in the St. Rita High School marching band. She graduated from Fox College in 1957 and spent the next 10 years working as a secretary until she met and married Bud in 1968. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville and enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading, exercising and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. </b> Beloved wife of Edward L.
