<p>WINSTED –&nbsp;Tara Joy LaCasse, 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of John "Jack" A. LaCasse for 17 years. Born March 7, 1962 in West Milford, NJ; the daughter of the late Henry R. Heesemann and Nina (Goldberg) Keyser.</p><p><br></p><p>Tara loved and adored her husband, Jack and her dogs with all her heart. She was a talented artist and nail tech. She enjoyed doing her crafts and caring for her husband and dogs. Her family and dogs will miss her. She also loved butterflies and seeing them arrive to enjoy her butterfly bushes.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her husband, she is survived by her step father, Marvin Keyser of FL; two step daughters, Tracy Johnson of Colebrook and Jackie Longstreet and husband Paul of Winsted; brother, Christopher R. Heeseman and wife Kimberly of FL; step brother, Seth Keyser and wife Jessica of FL; sister, Lisa D. Ritson and husband Merritt of East Granby; 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Craig Nevins.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements.
