Rozetta Riles was born into this life on September 23, 1939, in Jacinto, AR, the daughter of Rachel Henderson and William Riles Sr. who both preceded her in death.
Rozetta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mt Tabor Baptist Church in Fordice Arkansas. While living in Arkansas, Rozetta worked for Sears and Roebuck as a seamstress, and she also worked as a housekeeper until late when she relocated to Springfield, IL.
Rozetta married Ruben Davis and unto this union 3 children were born; Anita Corey, Phillip Davis and Mark Davis.
Rozetta was a Certified Nurses Assistant and a licensed cosmetologist for over 20 years until she retired.
Among many things, Rozetta loved church and has always been an active member. She was a Sunday school teacher, usher, and church mother at Wade Chapel Baptist Church of Star City Arkansas.
She was also a member of Union Baptist and was a Sunday school teacher there for a little while. Rozetta held membership at Lawrence Ave Church of Christ, and Park Way Church of Christ.
Rozetta had many activities she enjoyed, but she mostly loved sowing, knitting, golfing, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and collecting stamps.
On Saturday, May 28, 2023, Rozetta was called home to be with her heavenly father, and we know while we may miss her down here, God has promised her no more suffering in heaven and we know she is in a much better place.
Rozetta leaves not to mourn but cherish her loving memories her precious daughter; Anita Corey, 2 brothers; Jesse Riles, William Riles Jr., George Riles, 2 sisters; Lucy Wells and Effie McGee, and a host of many cousin’s nieces and nephews.
