David E. Goedde

<p>David E. Goedde, age 77, of Random Lake, WI, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023 at Sheboygan Health Services.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born on June 25, 1945, in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Victor and Bernice (Haack) Goedde.</p><p><br></p><p>David attended St. John’s Grade School in Random Lake and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1963. After high school David worked on the family farm for many years. He also worked for Northrup King Seed and Fleet Farm in Plymouth for 27 years.</p><p><br></p><p>On January 15, 1977, he married Debra Stauber at St. Peter Evangelical Church in the Town of Rhine. David was a part of helping start St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Belgium, which he was also a member.</p><p><br></p><p>He enjoyed bowling, watching football and baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his wife, Debra of Random Lake; three daughters, Dawn (James) Meerdink of Random Lake, April (Scott) Roethel of Plymouth, and Brenda (Jason) Sarabia of Kiel; two grandchildren, Alec Roethel of Plymouth and Lilly-Rose Sarabia of Kiel; brother, Donald (Kris) Goedde of Sheboygan Falls; two sisters, Karen (Don) Pfeifer of Adell and Marlene (Rich) Forshee of Jackson; and brother-in-law, Leonard Fick of Sheboygan Falls.</p><p><br></p><p>He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Goedde; parents; sisters, Kathleen Goedde and Elaine Fick; and brother-in-law, Frank Stauber.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held on Monday (June 5) at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Belgium from 4:00 -6:00 PM; with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Pastor Paul Scheunemann will officiate. Cremation will take place following services and inurnment will be at Wildwood cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in David’s name for St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.</p><p><br></p><p>The Suchon Funeral Home is assisting the family.
